Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen.

The time has arrived, Highland Brass is about to be launched and I am now in a position to announce our first rehearsal.

THURSDAY 22nd AUGUST 2013

Venue

Kenneth Street Hall (Part of Inverness Cathedral)

Time

7- 9pm

Rehearsals will be then be every Thursday thereafter.

The date of our first rehearsal is very soon, this is deliberate as I can also announce that we have our first event already in the books. STV appeal 28th September 2013 - Falcon Square, Inverness 30 min playing spot sometime between 11-5pm, to be confirmed.

I want to thank you all for your support and enthusiasm in helping me set this band up.
I couldn't have made this all happen without the help and support provided by Lorna Bias, Steph Elliott and Dave Allan, and we are all very excited to give the Highlands an opportunity to hear what brass players can do.
I realise that the rehearsal day night may not suit everybody and for that I can only apologise.

Ideally I would love to accommodate everyone who expressed an interest but I hope that those who can't make rehearsals initially can join us in the future.

For the first rehearsal it is necessary to ask that everybody who attends chips in £2 to contribute to the hire of the hall. Please could you also bring your own music stand, where possible. If you do not own one, could you let me know and I will see what I can bring with me.

I hope that this marks the start of a long future for Highland Brass.
