We are delighted to announce our intention to set up a Youth band, aimed at players as young as 9 years of age.

We are looking for young brass players of any standard who feel they would like to get involved in group music making, no matter whether you have recently started or been playing a few years, we have music that will be educational and more importantly FUN!

We are holding a short open evening on 18th February at Culloden Academy in the music department from 6.45pm - 7.15pm. There we will explaining our plans for the band, how it will all work and also let you hear a few senior band members play as well.

Rehearsals for the Youth Band will take place before senior band practices 6.30 pm- 7.20pm on Thursdays at the music department of Culloden Academy. There will be a charge of £2 per week to help the band develop and to cover costs of new music, room hire etc.

The youth band will be run by Senior band conductor Mark Bell, part of the music instructor team at Highland Council.

We also intend on starting new pupils after the Easter holidays so if you have a child who would be interested then please email highlandbrass@yahoo.co.uk to note your interest.

If you are interested in joining our youth band please complete this application form and we look forward to seeing you on the 18th Feb.
